Star Ledger - 5/14/09
“The atmosphere is thoroughly inviting -- hardwood floors, an arts-and-crafts architectural style, so much gleaming copper in the kitchen you might reach for your Ray-Bans. Folks clearly come here to have fun, eat well and to be treated well... This is among the best tavern food you'll have anywhere, and the level of service competes with any white-table establishment... Desserts were amazing, and we love it when a restaurant pays close attention to the grand finale. This is what you remember when you walk out the door...”

“The Huntley Taverne, in what used to be known as the Huntley sectionof Summit, is a stunnig restaurant. Cathedral ceilings, light wood with graceful beams, two fireplaces burning real wood, large windows, a wrap around porch and a loft dining room over looking the bar and kitchen make this a place very special.” — Lois Mattson |

1/2 - “Huntley Taverne is the perfect back drop for a menu changing daily. That allows chef Bill Hendra, who hails form Trap Rock maximum creativity and opportunity to take advantage of fresh seasonal ingredients. He doesn’t go overboard, but gives nearly everything a twist to make it a little different.” — Cody Kendall |
